what does clear 1/2" thick acrylic cost per square foot?

I have no real clue, and mean no offense; but wonder why so many don't go more direct? WWW is obviously something accessible. Browser box , then Keyword search.

Clear at 1/2 inch; such as for security purposes; convenience store windows to the cashier/ BANKS at 1 inch; etc; is expensive.
