The flaws that were in my perception but have been cleared up is the judicial system as presented on TV. No truth to it. If you don't have $10,000 right up front then you are as good as the next trash can. It is good entertainment. The people in the judicial system are just like any other workers...they go put in their hours and that is it. The public defender has so many cases that he doesn't have a chance to know anything about his client until a few minutes before court. Mmm

Having been home schooled with my only social contact being some older people in a Independent Baptist Church, told I would be sinning against God and man if I got a public job, told girls shouldn't go to college.... Do I have any perception of reality? Hard to believe, but the above was my reality. So, reality must not be an absolute. So, perception is simply perception.

I'd like to believe that people are generally good and I always encourage my niece and nephew to be respectful of everyone.
But I know that there are people out there taking advantage of the kindness of strangers or just outright stealing and victimizing others.
