Strangely mine is the smell of burnt oven chips.
My grandma before she passed away, would always put some crinkle cut oven chips in the oven ready for when we visited. Luckily, she never managed to burn down the kitchen, but she certainly remembered about the chips when we could smell them turning black and crispy.
Another is the smell of furniture from Ikea.
My Uncle worked in the warehouse bit where people collect their furniture from, whenever we saw him he had just finished a 9-5 daily job, ponging of wood!

When I was a kid and made mud-pies...we also ate some of them. Now when I smell a certain type of soil it takes me back. lol There is a certain type of cookie that gives me good memories of a lady who had 12 children. She loved all children and had a ready supply of cookies for them. Mmm

Lilacs, carnations and Christmas trees.
All associated with happy events in my childhood, which was riddled with a great deal of unhappy events. The scents help me remember the good things, few as there may have been.
Peace.

Pine-sol, especially on a newly mopped floor. I love to mop my house, then take the dog for a walk and come home to that smell. It reminds me that my floors are clean, for now.

the smell after the rain and the smell of fresh mowed lawn.
It reminds me of my childhood, the innocence age. The smell of freedom of my soul.

Not really sure how to describe it. That musty low tide smell when the mud flats are exposed at low tide. It just lets me know I'm home.
