I just don't get it.
Why are some people so cruel, judgmental and just plain nasty? Why, when some are in a 'group' or 'couple' do they feel the need to criticize, judge and laugh at people? These are adults, people who should now better. It's like they have never grown up since playground teasing. What's wrong with these people? Do they just think they are better than everyone else? Is this just a 'syndrome' of British people, or is this a global thing? I swear, people are getting worse every day.
Please give your opinion, I'm losing faith in human nature!

People in a group feel they can be judgemental because no one has to take any responsibility; "they" are all in it "together" and can re-inforce from each other; even if one of them thinks its wrong. No one wants to be the first to upset the "group".
You mention couples; maybe that is harder to explain, although I think it is some of the above.
People feel brave in 2's and more.
I hope no one has judged you today; you sound quite upset about something.
Looking at the news today, this is not just a "British" concept.
Maybe it is hard to be understood today if you feel you are not understood yourself. Looks like we could be entering the culture of the "victim". When they feel victimised they are quicker to judge; to avoid looking at themselves.
