Ok, I'm having some trouble finding a pair of jeans that fit. I hate to admit it, but I am a little overweight. I am also tall, about 5'10". Then, even though I'm bigger in the stomach area, I have very fit legs that are toned (sounds strange I know). How do I get a pair of jeans that fit my legs and my waist?? And then NOT look like I have a tire around my waist :(

Try a place that doesn't sell Juniors, Pac sun, abercrombie, Holister are great if you have the body of a 12 year old but if you don't try somewhere like GAP, Banana Republic, also J.Jill has great fitting jeans. You can also try guys jeans, since men typically wear there pants lower and have thinner legs and no waist and even better they come in lengths.

I don't know where you live, but a good store to try is PacSun. Thier jeans, Tilt, have wider thighs and the top is pretty straight up and down to the hips. They also have short, medium, and tall lengths. I bought some right after I had my daughter, when I still had the bit of baby pudge, and they were the only jeans that didn't give me a muffin top or look tight and tacky. They aren't expensive, either, and that just means you can buy more!

You can go to the Levi's store and have a custom pair made. You step into a closet like contraption that measures you every which way possible. It costs a bit more but the right fit is definitely worth it.

Try on jeans that are hip huggers/flared, but make sure that you don't buy ones that are really snug since they will usually shrink when you wash them the first time. I typically try to buy a size up from the size that is snug, that way if they shrink I don't end up with the belly all pushed out the top. You can always wear a belt if they sag.
