Those who react to questions rather than debate them normally do not have a substantial or well thought out counter-arguement so must resort to the only weapon left in the arsenal - bullying.

I can't explain why... I can only suggest that perhaps some people aren't very good at putting across their views especially if they differ from the questioners. But I can say that being able to see views from all angles and have a healthy debate without resorting to abuse and name calling is a sign of intelligence apparently.

There are posters, from both "sides" of the debate, who post vindictive or insulting abuse simply because they do not have a rational argument. Its childish and simply shows them for the morons they are.
It doesn't bother me too much, (although it does make me angry sometimes), I simply pity them for not being intelligent enough to come up with a logical argument.

It works the other way too, any question seen as pro-McCann gets the same hateful response.
And 2Dog where do you get off saying some people on here love child neglectors - grow up - thats a vicious thing to say.

Agree with you but it is not going to work. This is not the only forum which opposes the behaviour of the Mccanns so those supporters should move to Burma if they are seeking to stifle opinion.

I give you your answer to that, its because they pretend they don't like to hear it,yet like you say the first 4 answers are of attack.
I f they don't like it,then don't bother answering,they should just answer another question.
What they forget is that loads of people think the Mc Canns are guilty, so do Portuguese police, we are allowed to think either side, FREEWILL FOR ALL.

Some people will always give useless answers. They confuse Yahoo Answers with YouTube.

The whole point of a healthy debate is respecting others views and also putting your point across by backing it up respectfully.Yahoo answers is nothing but a chatroom now.

I think everyday someone posts a question like this.....are you really bothered with the responses. Personally I think this issue has been raised enough....and am sick of hearing about them. Children everyday are either mistreated, abused or murdered and that's in this country ......if those on here are really concerned for children just remember at Christmas to make donations to the local social services department....just put a box together with a clear label stating the age and sex of child the contents would be suitable for...and they will pass to a child in their care........As to all the children that go missing think of what their parents are going through no one has jumped to their defence.or offered 1 million.........
