Yes, ever since one of my sisters made me watch "Thirteen Ghosts" saying that it was a good movie, I have been slightly afraid of her lol.

Not usually, but if its someone I don't like and I hear them say a movie sucked I tend to see that movie. And like it.
A Night at the Roxbury funny 2 min SNL skit, not a 90 min movie.
What was Will thinking?

Definitely not most critics. I usually dislike the ones they rave about and often like the ones they pan. As far as "regular" people I am not usually affected by others opinions. I may go because someone wants to see a certain movie but I make my own opinion on whether I like it or not.

Yes. Both. If I find that someone LOVES Sam Peckinpah's films I suspect him of being .... less human.... I guess, is the way I'd put it... Same goes for Quentin Tarentino. In spades!
On the other hand... if someone knows who Stanley Donen is; or
Ross Hunter; then I instantly approve of them. Oh. Know and LIKE them. I'm still impressed if they know who those people are, but...
WHO doesn't like Stanley Donen's films? }:>
('Night at the Roxbury'? ...dude... ew.)

Absolutely! There have been some movies that I haven't thought naything of, but when a certain friend enjoys them I look at them differently, and end up liking it. The same has been for music, and bands, also. If a friend turns me on to a certain band, I usually like it alot. if I like it, that is...

I only watch the movie recommended if it is something that sounds interesting to me! So I guess their opinion doesn't affect how I think of them!

lol. This question cracks me up. No, I don't feel that way at all but now ask my husband this same question and he will say yes. I have a friend that likes really strange movies and that influenced his opinion of her.

Yes, I have a few friends who prefer some silly ones and I don't take their advice about what is a "good" movie anymore.

I'm so picky about the movies I see so it's hard for me to understand why some people will watch anything. It doesn't change my opinion of them that much though.

funny question, and yes - my girlfriend thinks the most stupid movies are cool.
I try and rent a deep, thought-provoking movie, and she falls asleep every single time. I still love her though, cause the pretty ones aren't supposed to be rocket scientists.
