Place a brown paper bag over the stain, then with your iron on a warm to hot setting iron over the paper . The wax will then lift onto the paper

You can try a LOW iron over a brown paper bag. Keep the iron moving. As the wax melts, the paper bag will absorb the wax. You'll probably have to do it a few times.

Keep the iron moving - and keep it on LOW - don't want to scorch the carpet!

If you don't have brown grocery sacks, try multiple layers of paper towels or newspapers.

Paper towels and a warm iron usually works. Be careful not to use too high a heat to melt the carpet, and use plenty of clean paper towels so the wax doesn't gunk up the iron

I have heard that if you place a white paper towel over the wax and put an iron on a low-medium setting the paper towel will soak up the melted wax. I've never tried it though. It sounds reasonable to me.

Yes. Lay down a paper towel or two, and run a hot iron over it, the melted wax will absorb into the paper. Make sure you have several layers of paper towel so you do not scorch the carpet though

Get ahold of dry cleaning solvent- you may have to go to a carpet cleaner supply store or a big janitorial store.

It works better than wax remover.
Before applying scrape off as much wax as you can, then apply the solvent and just start dabbing.
Make sure the window's open and use gloves as the stuff is toxic.

Yes, I've used this and it worked great. Use a brown paper grocery bag and a medium hot iron. Lay one layer of the bag on waxy area and iron. Keep changing paper till all wax is gone.

Put a towel over it and iron it to soften it. Or you can try ice to harden it enough that you can pick it off. Lots depends on the pile of the carpet.

Try using a medium-heat iron on an old towel (one that you don't plan to use any more!!) over the spot. I've found cotton terrycloth works better than paper towels.
