I don't really get it myself. Three pairs is enough, but a rackful is madness!

I am not sure but i know that i am GUILTY AS CHARGED!! I certainly own more than my fair share. I love shoes. When i try on a pair and they look great i visualize myself wearing them and as long as i can afford them at the time i go ahead and purchase.
You said three pairs, i cannot even remember when i owned only three pairs. I was on a shopping holiday recently and i had to mentally discipline myself from buying shoes. I finally bought five pairs.
What can i say?????? lol

Maybe they are looking for a pair that's comfortable.
From what I have seen of women's shoes, I would sue the manufacturers if I were female and had to wear them.
Lots of women's shoes don't have good arch support--they don't wear as well as men's shoes and they even look uncomfortable.
I own about four pairs of shoes, including a couple of pairs of tennies, and tend to wear the same ones until they wear out. They are comfortable enough for me to wear them all day. I don't worry about fashion but I do worry about healthy and happy feet.

It's not just women, I love shoes and have several pairs, but without sounding smug I do like nice quality No trainers for me.
I walked into a shoe shop in London once and sat down to have a pair fitted on and when I looked at the person sitting next to me it was Tony Bennett, it must have made his day.Not. And no I didn't try to speak to him.

I love shoes and I own a lot of them, but my husband actually owns more shoes than I do. Most of my shoes are for work.

a shoe always fits you never grow out of them. pluss just a simple change of a shoe changes an outfit. I never use to be into shoes but all of a sudden its hit me and i love them. Each to their own

i have several pair but usually wear just one till they wear out. i don't own any "dressy" type shoes.
