At home, I am able to connect to certain programs using WiFi, such as Xfire and Steam. When I go to my school to connect to WiFi, I am the only one that is unable to establish a connection with those 2 programs, and others as well. The people around me are able to connect to them, but I cannot. If anyone knows a possible issue, please respond! - I tried disabling my firewall, did not work.

You said you tried disabling your firewall. But what about the firewall built into your OS? If you're using Windows Vista for example, it'll ask you what kind of WiFi connection are you are using; Home, Work, or Public. In that case the problem may be correctable if you simply selected home or by completely disabling your built-in firewall as well.

Just because you are connected to the WIFI does not mean you are actually networked with the other computer and/or network server at school. You will need to run the network setup wizard or get the schools IT people to help you.
