Griese typically plays a couple great games when he first gets the ball, and later reminds you why he is a second stringer everywhere he goes. He'll be at least as solid as Grossman, but I think you are going to see a lot of what you saw with Rex--weeks of outstanding to good play mixed with weeks of mediocre to bad play.

No, it is not to soon to bench Grossman. Or just in time. Should of maybe been done sooner and I am NOT a Rex-hater at all, just a frustrated Bears fan who wants to see the team do better. Do I think Griese will do any better, I don't know but HE BETTER.

Rex sucks - but the Bears won't be that much better with Griese. They have no running game, and the offensive line sucks. That is not even going into how banged up the Bears defense is right now.
I am not convinced that they are benching Rex. I won't believe it until I hear Lovie say so this afternoon. But Griese is not the answer either. Orton is.

Rex Grossman has been doing super for them giving them a large start to a season! He has a million loss and a million loss while in comparison with the quite a few different QB's in the league? I say Chicago trades griese and tries to get a draft p.c.. or yet another reciever to help out Berrian a sprint...

It was time for Grossman to take a seat and maybe think about what he is doing wrong. Griese is a sideways move. I hope he can do better. But I think he would have played already if he was that good.

rex got hurt his first year with the bears. after recovering from his second injury the folowing year, he showed signs of a potential legitimate qb in the nfl. at the beginning of his third year he was on the right path, but started to stink it up after the media and bear fans started jumping on his ban wagon.
the pressure got to him and he couldn't handle it. rex's contract expires this year and most likely he will become a free agent. his roster on the all time nfl busts is safely secured. as far as brian. the only reason he is on an nfl roster is because of his dad. he did'nt do anything for the broncos. after they let him go, he went to the dolphins. how ironic. if he can't do it they can go to kyle orton.

Brian Griese is definitely an upgrade from Rex...I think they should either plan on Kyle Orton for the future or draft a franchise QB soon...

rex grossman is a sissy and wears panties and should be benched until he grows some balls and plays like he wants to be the best instead of having the team carry his sorry butt but I don't think greasy bob is any better/// the bears need to start looking for a real quarterback/////

Rex is horrible, worst quarterback rating in the league since WEEK 6 of last year. Sexy Rexy needs to hold for PAT's the rest of the season.

Nope. Rex reminded me a lot of Mike Vick - when he was hot, he could win games, but the rest of the time he sucked. The Bears are screwed because they lost Mike Brown (again!), Dusty Dvoracek, and Tommie Harris is hurt again too.
