I had a day today that gave me a flash back. Cry? I could have cried buckets. Instead of that I got on which the necessaries then treated myself to a cuppa and got onto here to cheer myself up.
It's not working well. Do you do this?

I do it. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I find it works best with smart and witty answers. Makes me feel good.

Some days are better than others. Life is like a roller coaster ride. When you are at the bottom, the only place that you can go is up. See that the next day is a super one.

You should have let yourself cry buckets if thats what your first reaction to the flash back was. It must have been traumatic and something that hurt you. In order to move forward in your life, you must deal with your past. There is nothing that will make you feel better until you face your past, happy or sad.

Sometimes. It depends on the intensity of the sadness. If I feel really sad, I cry without any hesitation cause it makes you feel better. But if I'm not that sad, then it's hard to cry so, I just try to concentrate on other activities like Y!A.

well.. getting on here is just a distraction most likely (distractions aren't what you should shoot for).. but there is nothing wrong with trying to find outlets other than crying (and 99% of the time..there's nothing wrong with crying either)... you may try going and working out or jogging or hiking or .. it will probably help more than getting on here.

but no.. it's not sad.. it's just life.

Face your unresolved sadness and embrace it...have a good long cry and really let it out.
You will feel much better in the long run.
If this is something you need to share or discuss with someone find someone trustworthy and talk it out.

Things happen for a reason.. When something sad or bad happens to you don't be too hard on yourself. Just keep it mind that something good will happen to you very soon. The best thing is for you not to keep it to yourself but to share it with your closest of friends.:)

Can you get into doing something else?
I find when I focus on a bad day, it stays bad. But if I try to start a new project, or help someone in need, I fill my mind with something else and then I forget the reasons why I was sad or upset.
By keeping busy I fight depression.
Can you go outside and take a walk?
Can you take your problems to a church and meditate there?
Can you go out and clean your garage/shed/attic/ office/whatever?
Let me tell you, getting busy is better than sitting around feeling sorry for myself.
Heck come on over to my house. I've got lots of projects that need work. I've got a table and chairs in my garage that needs painting and new fabric on them so I can give them to my friend who has no furniture. I need to sort through and donate my left-over yard sale items to the next church rummage sale. I've got about 5 boxes of fabric I need to cut up and sew into quilts for the naked babies in my town. I've got to find and repair and paint some dressers for my friend, she needs new mattresses, I need to walk my dogs, I need to do my homework and study for tomorrow's test, I need to clean out my clutter and throw away and organize all the junk in my living room, I've got a LOT to do! Come on over and help me!
