Implantation bleeding or ovulation?

My hubby and I have been ttc for about 8 months now.My cycle is a regular 28 day. I am due for a period in about 13 days. For about three days this past week I had brown spotting /discharge not much. Is this a sign of implantation or ovulation? I was too excited a did hpt and it was neg,I think it was way too soon to check anyway.Can anyone offer some info???

It could be either. It sounds like it was too soon for a test. Wait and see if your period is late, if it is then take a test.

Could be. Keep a new pregnancy test handy or call your OB.
