Hi Rena,

Naturally, the need to be loved is stronger for love here connotes a neccesity. The need to be loved by a person while the desire to be loved is a wish, longing, propensity and craving for love. You may be longing for a love of a person but the need to be loved is somewhat heavier for it is a requirement of a person.

Great question again. Thanks and have a great day!

The desire is stronger, need puts you in a place of lack or want. There is no lack in desire, only an abudance. There is no desire that anyone holds for any other reason than they believe they will feel better in the achievement of it. Whether it is a material object, a physical state of being, a relationship, a condition, or a circumstance... at the heart of every desire is the desire to feel good.

The need to be loved is stronger since the need is an inevitable one where as a desire could be done away with.

the need to be loved is stronger because when someone fulfills this need for you then you will forever be faithful to this person or at-least be grateful to have someone who could love you for you!!!! and maybe this experience would make you a better person in life! as for the desire to be loved well...it's desire which means your already loved but your in the mood for more love!!!which also means that once you get bored with it you would leave it! and won't remember it cause it's just part of your collection!!!

~have a nice day~ : )

I think the need to be loved is stronger than the desire to be loved. Out of the need to be loved may arise the desire to be loved. You may even decide to not actualize the desire to be loved, and thus you will be choosing to not satisfy your need of being loved. You may even ... sublimize that need into some transfiguration of your own contrivance or choice.

I think the desire wins out. Because technically you can live without being loved, so you don't really NEED it but everyone desires to be loved.

I`ve never thought about it in great detail but (being a needy person perhaps) I often feel the need to love and the desire to be loved if that makes any sense?

No one needs to be loved. Love is not a necessity. You can survive without it. However, practically everyone desires to be loved. They are not the same thing... need & desire. Need implies that one must have it to live. Desire implies that one simply wants something.

The need to be loves is possibly the strongest need we have. A person can do without food, without water, without shelter, but not without love.

The desire to be loved can be thought of as just that, a desire. Not a necessity, but a very wonderful thing to have.

The need to be loved is a cynic way to get love by self-egoism and this need can lead to an insane jealousy. But the desire to be loved is a natural way for the not insane beings human. In contrast, I think that animals have no desire to be loved by others animals of their same genders; however, they need and desire to be loved by the persons who take care of them.
To conclude the DESIRE is a stronger one.
