We come hope wiped out, eat some food, and fall asleep. We were thinking about throwing a party, but I don't think either of us could really muster up the energy to plan anything. What should we do to mark the occasion?

no one is ever too busy for an anniversary, that is the EXCUSE people use, we're so busy, we have no time,bullshit... you've only been married yr, how can you possibly be so busy.

try again... MAKE TIME for your anniversary.

Forget the party, this time is for you and your wife. Check your priorities, being too busy or too tired for time to celebrate alone together spells trouble for the marriage. My best suggestion: Make time to go to the nearest upscale adult shop, purchase some goodies, starting with body lotions and warming lotions, the rest is up to you and your wife. Then, on the eve of your anniversary, start with a simple dinner, candles, and some caffeine to stay awake for the occasion. Make the dinner and cleanup quick and easy. You have more important things to do. Now, turn off the phones, lock the door and have a wonderful evening. Alone together. Awake. Making Love, Celebrating your love. You and your wife will likely rest well that night, with smiles and loving hearts. May the Blessings Be

There is no written rule that you have to do anything on that particular date. Its easy to understand if you're both dog tried when you get home that going out and celebrating might be the last thing on your mind. And a party? naw...its your 1st anniversary so make it for just the two of you. parties are for your 50th.

Set a future date for someplace and whatever you do...once you agree on the details and the date do not cancel or change your mind. Keep reminding one another every so often that you're looking forward to (whatever).

It'll come off nicely and she'll be thrilled. And..isn't that all that matters?

1st anniversary and ur thinking of throwing a party?

common, the first yr is the best one! if ur too busy, why not ask to get off early at work? get some Italian food, a dozen roses, and maybe a couple of sprite's, and make ur way on to her place of work. make it romantic. dont share this moment with anybody just u and ur wife

(also call her mgr, let him/ her know that ur planing something especial for her, who knows they might even make it easier for u 2...)

good luck honey

A nice, quiet, romantic dinner at a restaurant that you wouldn't usually go to.

Because then someone else has to clean up. ;)

I think the first anniversary should be about you as a couple, not necessarily about having a party for your friends (isn't that what the wedding was, anyway?).

First anniversary.... sounds like you two just need to relax. Just take a vacation day and go to a day spa together. Get massages and pampered allllllllll day.... it sounds like you both need it...... and after one whole year of marriage ... YOU DESERVE IT!
Then go have a nice dinner... and go home to bed. Sleep optional.... lol. Happy Anniversary!
