Car making noises?

As if life couldn't get any worse for me..my car ('98 nissan sentra-about 155,000 miles on it) just started (bout an hr ago) making this constant and annoying grunting noise when driving. The only time it stops is when I take my foot off the gas. What could it be? I'm getting an oil change at 5 pm so I hope they will look at it..but what do you think? how much will I have to pay?

at this mileage it could be anything. this is a car witih lots of use. you really need a teck to look it over
