I love them both but Disneyland is my favorite. WDW has so much to do and I love central Florida, I always have a great time and cant wait to get back. I go to Disneyland several times a year and its my favorite because it is more intimate and it was Walt's park, WDW was Walt's Dream but he never walked in WDW, it is more of a tribute to his genius and vision where DL was his park, you can still find people, and not just cast members but everyday guests that interacted with Walt Disney at Disneyland. So his memory is still there, and a lot of Walt is still there, maybe even his ghost. He helped design the park and some of the attractions, you can walk where Walt walked and have some of the experiences he had. Without Walt Disney and Disneyland there would be no WDW, no Universal, no Cedar fair.

Disney World. It's like a world of it's own. In Disneyland, you are in the middle of the city and it just isn't like Disney World.

Disney World has to be the best because of all the classics that are still there (as they are in California) and all the new technologies and attractions the Imaginears come up with. There is definitely something there for all ages. Plus the hotels are a plus. Any hotel you stay at is wonderful. I just love it! :-)

Been to both and prefer Disney World where there's a much bigger variety of things to do (EPCOT, MGM, Animal Kingdom). Disneyland is more quaint and everything is older but still worth a visit, even for the California Adventure park. When we got to Disneyland, my son said "Hey! They shrunk the castle!" I highly recommend the Disney Cruise lines even though they charge through the nose for it.

Check out the Disneyland knock off in China (not Hong Kong Disney): http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=1678

They have no qualms about pirating or copying anything. Walt must be spinning in his grave.

The parking lot of Disney World is the size of the entire property of Disney Land.

Personally I like Disney World. I love the carousel of progress and they did away with that a long time ago at Disneyland. I also really enjoy the worlds showcase at Epcot.

I love Disney World. There is not as much to do at Disney Land and it doesn't offer all of the resorts either. It is different environment.

to happydumblonde- DisneyLAND was the original! NOT WDW! Now then, I LOVE Disneyland- there will never, ever be anything as cool as the original. When we moved to the SE, we went to WDW because it was closer and everyone said it was great- we will never go back- everyone of us hated it! It just isn't the same- the rides are different and it has a totally different feel. Now, when we need a Disney fix, we fly all the way back to CA!
