1. True but your concern is valid. The (OH) ion does not indicate it is negative but assumes you know that. 2. right on! 3. False is correct. Au does not react with HCl or H2SO4 4. Industry used sulfuric acid because it is cheaper than HNO3, so false is the better answer. 5c. base since it is used to counteract HCl acid in the stomach. a., b., and d. are ok.
