Some people actually believe it can happen.

My oldest brother, now retired, has lived among Muslims for roughly 45 years as a preacher. He was not allowed to proselytize. He once had to calm a mob by putting a cloth cover over his church's cross. He had to use a different route each time he went to market to prevent being set upon.

Even so, shortly after he retired, he was stabbed. The local police said he probably knew his assailant. Fortunately, he survived that attack.

He said the best way to survive in a hostile environment is to keep your head down -- "easy to do when you're on your knees."

Note to Siddhartha -- Sorry my spelling sometimes leaves much to be desired. No offense to you for misspelling your name or for using you to bolster my question.

There is no intent of disrespect to you and any that answered your question or for any addressing the topic of getting along. Again No Disrespect intended.
But to dream of getting along is simply a dream. Its almost like living in a bubble because what is being asked. We have never gotten along with Muslims. We never can. The position of getting along only will work when we agree to the terms of Islam and not Islam meeting us half way. Or for that matter a little more clearly, Islam is at war with all religions of the world until all religions recognize Islam as the true religion. No compromise. When that realization hits home, maybe then all will abandon the notion of getting along. You are going to be fighting for your life.

No! Not a can of worms but some food for thought anyway.
Your brother really put himself out there & I respect him for that alone & so much more.

If we can't laugh at ourselves or take everything so seriously what is the point to anything. Don't sweat the little things!
