Above are all good. I just want to offer a little advice about virus protection. Learn how to think!!! In you e-mails, put your friends and business contacts in your address book. When you get e-mails not in the address book, think, it have a paper clip beside it? Trash it. Just because it say you won the Yahoo Lottery, think, when did you enter a lottery???? Trash that crap. You get an e-mail some beautiful woman wants a date with you, get real!!! Trash that crap. Most people get viruses, worms, Trojans, from not thinking and surfing crap web-sites.
Even when I receive an e-mail from a friend with a paper clip and they did not say they going to send me a file, I ask before I open. This happened only once that it was a virus, many people opened and click and passed it on to others. I asked first and my friend say; "No, I did not send you a file", later my friend said; "I think I opened something I should not have opened". :-p
So, bottom line. Your best anti-virus is not software, but, brain power. Just learn to think before you click.
The anti-virus is a good backup for when we have a Brain Fart. ;-)

Here is a good comparison site that should give you more on the topic. However, anti-virus should not be your main concern. Get a spyware program that bundles antivirus. Spyware is much more prevalent on the net. Hope this helps!

Use AVG Free, it's very simple and completely free.

Always remember to keep your anti-virus software (whatever you choose) updated and active, to monitor your computer in real time. Also, never use more than one anti-virus as that can cause driver conflicts.
