I'm the duck with the short neck who can swim fast on the water or take flight in the air. I'd hate to not stay and fight with my chicken friend, or even the newly acquainted goose, but it is a dog-eat-dog world out there. Survival of the fittest.

birds may flock together but remember they are not all the "same kind" of birds, and each has their own attitude. A goose bites hard and twists it's prey and is not afraid to bite a butt and hang on and it will chase you and fly at you and geese do fly at length, a chicken would peck out eyes, and use it's claws, and a duck's bite grinds and they can fly at length. Teamwork, if working as "all birds" (as you state) would overcome the wolf.
In America the "wolf" is considered the debt collector...lol

Sometimes I am a bird, and sometimes I am a wolf. It all depends on the situation.
