This is from the new hampshire DOL website

TITLE XXIII

CHAPTER 275
PROTECTIVE LEGISLATION
Day's Work; Days of Rest
Section 275:30-a
275:30-a Lunch or Eating Period. – An employer may not require an employee to work more than 5 consecutive hours without granting him a 1/2 hour lunch or eating period, except if it is feasible for the employee to eat during the performance of his work, and the employer permits him to do so.

There appear to be no other statutory requirements regarding breaks.

You will have to check both state and federal laws pertaining to this. Check the websites of state and federal labor relations, and follow whatever links there may be. If it is an incident involving many people, you might check with an attorney handling labor law, in your area.
