Had been drinking.........and was crying...........and then this (see below) turned out to be the problem.....
She says, while crying, "I'm at Whataburger in the Drive-Thru and *sniffles* the line is so long."
Me, "Well park the car and go inside, sometimes its much quicker than waiting thru the drive thru"
Her, "But I have been drinking"
Me, "So, you really think you are the first drunk to go in Whataburger @ 2:00 am?" I mean, really, why do you think they are still open?"
Her, "But I am in my pajamas (all while still crying, almost hysterically)
Me, "Ok, so why are you driving to Whataburger, drunk and crying and wearing your pajamas?" "You shouldn't even be driving"
Her, "I know, but I got ready for bed and decided I was hungry and went to the kitchen and there wasn't any bread" (still crying) "Well I got to go, it's my turn now, love you, bye" *click*

I would ask her if she even remembers the conversation. If not, she has a drinking problem, and it needs to be addressed. If she is sitting home in her jamies getting sh*t faced drunk by herself, and then is stupid enough to get behind the wheel of a car, and starts crying and calls you in the middle of the night because the line at whataburger is too long, she has issues. She probably has issues that are leading her to self medicate with alcohol. She may be severly depressed. Have a heart to heart talk with her, and see if there is any way you can talk her in to getting some counseling. Let her know you care about her, and are concerned with her behavior of late, and just want to help her. Let her know you will be there for her no matter what.

It sounds like she's got a real problem. . .she could use a friend right now that's for sure. I'd contact her and inquire (as if you didn't know) if she was ok. Just say you haven't heard from her since then and are worried about her. Maybe have a frank conversation about her drinking too.

Sounds like she needs help. You could try having a chat with her and ask why she called you at that time over a relatively trivial matter. As for drink driving...that is a major no no!

I would tell my friend to park her car and stay there, that I would be there to pick her up.I just lost my brother-in-law in a car accident because the driver of the car had been drinking. Don't think for a second that it can't happen to you or anyone that you know.

From reading the conversation, I think that she was too drunk to remember ever having that conversation... If you are a true friend, while she is sober, let her know for her own safety as well as that of others, don't drive drunk... It kills people - seriously...

next time ask her to wait and go for a burger also. Than you can ask her what is really going on. And you can make sure that she don't drive back drunk.

Turn your phone off when you go to bed. Obviously her little problem wasn't worth waking up for at that time of night. I'd be prety irritated, but hey, she was drunk & probably doesn't remember calling you.

I would have a very serious talk with my friend. We have had situations such as this happen to us, and had to tell them not to call after 10:00 pm unless it was a real emergency.

she will be ok. i have known many drunk people do alot of weird things. i knew this girl who spilt some of her beer on the floor then cried as she licked it up. she was crying because she was licking the floor. just leave her. she knows you are concerned and will contact you when she is ready.
