Am I along in thinking they are thick of are they just children or winding us up? Just curious. Especially when there is real questions to be asked about the grief in this world and great happiness. Who gives a tinkers cuss what colour of lipstick to wear!!

I probably agree with you very much too Jinxie, but you must have seen by my answers that I love a good laugh and do have a serious side if I think I can help someone.

Yes you have it! Many of the posters on these boards are indeed kids. In case you didn't notice, these was a lull in the postings in the few days of when school started back up (in the US). This lull was do to those kids not being able to just sit down at a computer and log on.
BTW, I love you colorful UK metaphors! Wish I could talk to you in person for that fact.

Start with the premise that a lot of people on Yahoo answers right now fall into certain categories:
1. Middle school-aged and high school aged kids (11-17)who are supposed to be doing their homework on the computer during school study hour.
2. Stay-at-home moms (like me!) trying to keep away from the inane shows on daytime tv.
3. Unemployed people online at the public library.
4. People at boring jobs who sit in front of a computer all day.
5. Seniors online at the senior center.
There's your general pool of users right now 8AM Pacific Daylight Savings Time. (We don't go back to Pacific Standard Time for another month.)
I would go into average IQ's and ages but I don't want to offend anyone.
Like it or not, this is a community. Instead of reading and answering every question to get 2 points, be a little more selective. (You always have the option to sign out, turn off the computer, and do something else.)

Since this site is open to the whole world why shouldn't children have a right to interact with other's also??? My daughter is 15 an honor student who might have a lot more sense than a lot of adults on this site. So what's the beef?? I know a lot of people teens and adults alike who worry about which lipstick to wear. I have to agree that you need to lighten up. This site isn't only for those who have a certain IQ or a certain age.

I spend my working day/night dealing with real questions in real situations. When I come on here it's to unwind and relax (selfish? maybe). I will answer serious questions if I can but I also like to answer the fun ones too. Sometimes what isn't important to one person is to another. What gives anyone the right to judge? And if someone comes on here for advice about anything, who is who decides if it's important enough to be posted? You?

Let's hope they grow up to be more tolerant adults than those that have forgotten about what is what like to a child!
Get of your high horse and lighten up. And learn to pay attention to detail. Your spelling leaves a lot to be desired.
