what do you know about multilple personalities? i am doing a project and would like help.

If someone has MPD (multiple personality disorder) .. the base personality doesn't know about the other personalities... but all the other personalities know about each other as well as the base personality.
Also... usually a person with MPD will have at least one personality of a different sex.. many times in it's child form.

It captures the public imagination. It makes good dramatic tales (like last nights "Law & Order: SVU".) It can be wrongly diagnosed. In cases where it is legitimate. it is generally the result of horrific abuse of a child, where it copes by diassociating its identity.
