Like a 7 year license and maybe if you have a kid in that time its an automatic 7 year renewel BUT otherwise the couple has to both agree to renew. It would sure cut down on divorce and people who had something worth keeping would work harder on their marriage. And who signs a lifetime contract?

And what happens when one votes to keep the marriage and one votes not to? Who would decide?

I think it should be an option, or maybe, when you fall in a certain age bracket, then your marriage is one that should expire (like 18-29) 2 yr. expiration and so on. Then, you should be able to renew @ no charge.
