Is it redundant to have a 2GB DDR2 RAM 800MHz SDRAM Memory compared to a 2GB DDR2 RAM 667MHz SDRAM Memory for a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6550? Or is it the higher MHz, the better?

RAM must be supported by the motherboard by type.

Decide how much RAM you need FIRST. Then, go to:

http://www.crucial.com/

Use their "Memory Advisor Tool" to identify your PC's RAM by make and model OR by Scanning your PC (Cool!).

Then, buy new RAM from them (or Kensington, Ultra, etc.) or look for COMPATIBLE second-hand RAM on Kijiji.ca, Craig's List or eBay, to name a few.

Its redundant..

It will go by the slower MHz speed, but you wont notice that at all.
