YA used to be a halfway decent source of political information. Now the only thing on here is biased bull crap that people hear on the TV ranting about NeoCons or Liberal aholes just to fuel the fire. Blaming one side or the other with no logical reasoning what so ever. People that have the mental capacity to discuss politics rationaly are being run off or corrupted. I don't mind hearing peoples opinions, i'm giving you mine right now, but throw out some evidence before you say that Republicans are more dangerous than Hitler.

It's this one-sided thinking by both sides that is tearing our great country apart, everybody has to be right.

I challenge everyone that reads this too give the other side a chance and hear them out.

For the people on here that are wondering how long I have been on here: about 8 months, started off when I was working the third shift at my job, at that time of day there are a lot less name callers.

Unfortunatly I don't get Fox News, MSNBC,etc..., I am currently in the middle east and the best that I can get is Al Jazzirah (or whatever), before you frown on that hear me out. AJ is actually the least biased news network that I have ever seen, while I don't like watching terrorists speak, I get to watch the US take them out at the same time (gives me a warm fuzzy inside, I just got out of the Army last year and now I'm an engineer).

Blueridgeliving: that question that I talked about is not an exact quote, but you can see for yourself it's about 5 questions below mine.

Global Warming ain't: You're right and wrong. If you read the answer that I gave above the "PS: You're an idiot" part you would notice that 1. He didn't even ask a question. 2. His comment was totally biased. 3. I debunked what he said with my answer about the lynching party and genocide thing.

I don't really find YA a good source of political info. I do find questions and answers that interest me and do more research on them. Sorry for the confusion.

Sane political discourse is difficult to come by when each side is told that the other is unpatriotic and anti-American.
When people ignore the truth in favor of the sensational, and buzzwords overrule good sense. Throw in a little sex and abortion and the drool starts.
Add a little disinformation and a total lack of any historical knowledge or the ability to put that knowledge into context and you get a senseless repetition of what todays pundits are 'discussing'.

So, are we talking about Republicans, or Democrats?

Amen. Preach it brother.

OPPS that sounded religious didn't it. But you are right. If you want to rant and rave about either side, go play somewhere else. Neither side is completely right or wrong. If you disagree with someone or something, look at it from a different perspective and TRY to find out why you would agree at least in part.

There's common ground out there. Let's look for it.

I agree with you. We are our own worst enemy. However, we do have Freedom of Speech, which allows anyone to spout their opinions, however irresponsible they might be.

I really think that we should all remember that we are Americans first, party second. We all want a great country to live in... instead of people attacking each other on the ways to go about it, we should work together to find viable solutions, even if it means the occasional compromise.

i don't pay plenty interest to the Jonas Brothers, yet they do look kinda poopy. Miley Cyrus feels like a self-based entire interior the butt who's purely too grown. (Jonas Brothers look too toddler like.) Who do I hate? Courtney Love is gross and ridiculous. of direction all and sundry hates Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie is disconnected from certainty too. female Gaga sucks!!!! She's so gruesome and untalented. that's it! that's my answer! She had a music approximately dancing and he or she would be able to't even circulate. stupid.

Your position is well defined and has been aired here
on quite a few occasions. However, until all the users
of this forum realize how much better it would be if
tirades were kept to a minimum we're stuck with hot
& heavy scream-outs with nothing being learned or
accomplished. 'Course lightening up with a little clean,
non-harmful humor never hurts.

I suppose blueridgeliving doesnt see your point....

On the internet real identities of the people are unknown therefore they feel they can be rude or whatever....they blame the other side w/o facts......its sad really that people resort to dumb name calling. I understand your argument, but like someone above me stated....this site is for entertainment purposes only. You can not depend to get reliable news here...if I read something and I have not heard it before I will do some research and gather my own opinion on it. Its that simple. I, personally, try not to do much name calling w/o facts anyway....

Anyway, yes the name calling can get a bit out of hand but I just chalk that up to people being anonymous!

the different parties are all trying to tell us what we want to here. they don't need facts.take out the money and powers the parties go after, and hold them legally responsible for their action I'm sure they won't be ripping us with lies. All they want to do is have more control over us. We need to vote with common since.Stop making laws that make us bitter toward each other.more laws mean more prison, jails, and law enforcement.Stop comparing Hitler to any one. He not running for any office. If you don't like the way our government is running the you need to become more involved in you government. Its up to us to make the changes.

When Yahoo eliminated the news message boards in December 2006, all the right-wing and left-wing trolls moved to YA.

Unfortunately, there is no "hearing them out" because they don't want to rationally discuss anything.

In order to avoid the trolls, you have to look for reasonable questions like your own, and decide whether you want to answer it or not.

The "hatred" from the right comes from being FORCED to look in the mirror.

And I don't recall ever reading a post that said the "Republicians are more dangerous than Hitler" but the horrendous fact of the matter is that the current administration, has, indeed, enacted legislation EXACTLY like the legislation Adolph Hitler enacted. Also right after a "terrorist" act.

It's not our fault bush is following in Hitler's footsteps.

Reichstag Fire of 1933 = 9/11 of 2001

Enabling Act (made no Parliament oversight "legal") = Patriot Act (made no Congressional oversight "legal")

http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/riseofhitler/burns.htmthere.

YOU do the research.
I did years ago.

EDIT: I agree 100% with Zero. The "us vs. them" mentality is keeping this country from solving our very real problems.
