i voted for it. People should know the clouds that hang over the broken record. You don't just go up two hat sizes over two years when your a grown man.

I think it is "bush" league and just shows the mentality of some people. The game itself is much bigger than Bonds or any of us and an action like that is a disgrace to the game. I would never be in favor of cutting down the game for the pleasure of some people. By placing an asterisk on the ball a few people are trying to tell all the rest of us that we are not smart enough to make up our own minds about Bonds and they have to do it for us in the form of an asterisk. The Ball should be sitting in the HOF as a symbol of a great accomplishment of the game without an asterisk.

it really does not matter to me. I have been to the Baseball Hall of Fame. There are items from Pete Rose and a pair of shoes that were worn by Shoeless Joe Jackson of the Chicago Black Sox scandal. The Hall has items of those not inducted or cannot even be inducted such as the two I just named. If he paid for the ball then he had a right to do whatever he wanted to do with it. I read where officials of the Hall of Fame said if not for him, they would not be getting the ball at all because they are a nonprofit organization. This is America, land where we make heroes of people on American Idol. Why is this so shocking to anyone? Just look at the moral fabric of our country, in general. Marking the ball with an asterisk fits right in with the overall mentality of our country at this time.

I thought it was a great move. Now let's see him talk his way out of this one. I have always felt that Bonds was lying through his teeth. Yeah right, he did not knowingly use steroids. A 13 year-old kid in a gym knows what the muscle cream is all about but not a professional athlete like Bonds which means he must have an IQ of 40.

He gets to do with the ball whatever he would like to do; I would not do that, as much as people feel like Bonds tarnished the record book I think that tarnishes the game just as much. That is the great thing about this COuntry though, we get to do what feel is proper (within the law) and we get to experess ourselves how we feel. I think the whole thing involves two fools making a mockery of the game of baseball.

I'm completely happy with it .The HOF gets the ball that they should rightfully have and the fans get to tell Barroid that they know that his record didn't come thru completely honest means.
Hopefully the only time that Barroid will ever get to see the ball is as a paid visitor to the HOF

Not a Bonds fan....but I really think that it would be stupid to do this to the ball and the record.....I can not stand the guy, but fair is fair...they were not illegal and more then one player was doing it ...so point here is that he still had to hit the ball it did not go out by itself.....besides all that, who would be stupid enough to spend what?? $750K for a ball and then do that to it....who would be stupid enough to pay that kinda of money for any ball!!.....sounds like someone with too much money!!!......where are you? I got a Mickey Mantle ball that he signed for me personally in 1977.....and my bid is????

Its what I voted for, although I wouldn't really have minded seeing it blasted into space. There isn't a place for steroid-using freaks in sports.
I especially enjoy how Bonds flipped out when he heard about the vote, I really can't wait to see his reaction to the results.

Obvious double standard is what i think about it. I won't be surprised if the guy rigged the votes in his favor since he don't like Bonds anyway.
