My favorite paradox is Xeno's paradox, in that you essentially can't go anywhere, because to go somewhere, you have to go halfway there, and to go halfway, you have to go halfway to halfway.

Although as a legal type person, legal ethics is also a favorite paradox of mine: being a "zealous advocate" for one's clients, and at the same time pursuing justice? Yeah, right.

How is the 1st answer on the topic of the turtle/human race a paradox? possibly it replaced into worded incorrect, by way of fact it somewhat is mindless. With the tips given if the two proceed on the fee they're vacationing then they'll the two be at 200m on the comparable time, and via the time the human is at 250m the turtle will in easy terms be 225m....... so yeah the human passes the turtle in that situation. via the numbers given the human replaced into gaining 50m to the turtle's each 25m, so the human replaced into vacationing two times as speedy. Yay math. the actual paradox there is how is that turtle shifting at this variety of outstanding p.c.., or is that purely one somewhat sluggish human.

My favorite is that there are 72 forms of syllygistic logic, of which only 12 lead to the possibility of truth. Yet, it takes the 60 forms that lead to false conclusions, many of which on the surface seem completely rational, to destroy the 12 "true" forms in any syllogistic discurse--unless and until one of the 12 can destroy the false conclusion. There are 5 times as many chances to be wrong as to be right.

I find many Biblical phrases to be paradoxical.

"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
If I were to have someone give me a million dollars then I would have to give it to someone else in order to do unto others. Basically I'd rather just keep the money and have others do unto me.

"Love your Enemies".
How can I love someone who is trying to kill me as it would be hard to love anyone if I were dead and if I defend myself how could I love my enemy when I'm trying to kick butt.

MY FAVORITE IS THAT SOME PEOPLE CAN STAND OUTSIDE IN THE BRIGHT SUNLIGHT AT NOON ON A CLOUDLESS DAY AND STILL BE IN DARKNESS.

I HAVE ENOUGH DOX THAT I'D BE HAPPY TO GIVE ONE OR TWO TO "ROCKIN JIMMY."
