After a few weeks of searching the internet for my own 2 year old, I have come to the conclusion that unique costumes just do not exist unless it is something homemade.

Obviously that first guy has no concept of the level of mobility that a two-year-old is capable of. One of my favorite Halloween costumes ever was a rock star. My mom helped me pick out really flashy/shiny clothes at the second hand store, I wore those plastic dress-up heels, lots of bright makeup, a crazy wig, and carried around a fake microphone. This could easily be modified for a boy.

If it's a manufactured costume, it won't be "unique". Go to the fabric store, get some cushion foam and cut it into two large bread shapes. Paint the outer edges brown, like bread crust. Punch two holes in the middle of each one to run a white "sash" through. Add some green ready-made ruffles for lettuce and a thin orange slab for cheese and even a round red slice for a tomato. Tie it around his middle, one bread in front and one in back. Voila! Baby sandwich!

Last year my sons (who were 4 1/2 and 3 and 2 weeks at the time) went as a Storm trooper and Darth Vader. I was a Vampire slayer and my husband went asmy husband, he pushed the stroller. This year I am trying to convince them to take me trick or treating with me as a little girl, and one as my babydoll and the other as my teddybear. They aren't having it! LOL They have also been Bat Man, Spiderman, Clifford the big red dog, and Power Rangers.

How about an ice cream cone? You could put red face paint on your baby's nose for a cherry, and dots on the face for nuts and sprinkles, dress him/or her in brown pants and use brown wrapping paper to make the cone one in the V in the front and one V in the back, and use a black marker to draw the texture XXXX on the cone and get a sweatshirt that is a size too big and stuff it, and draw on chocolate topping, use use pieces of felt for the topping, so that your baby can still use the sweatshirt once he or she grows into it. Have fun and don't forget to take lots of pics. for the baby book.

How about dressing him/ her up as a "cell". It only requires two roundish, or oval-shaped pieces of fabric hemmed around with spaces for head, arms and legs. Through the fabric thread soft string, or even colored yarn at interval, representing little "feelers". A matching little cap can be made. Perhaps you could make it red with cream colored "feelers" and call him/her a blood cell. Of course body cells don't all have "feelers", but it's to give the representation of a "living organism" You could make it black or dark green and call it a "virus" LOL>

Easy to make, and guaranteed to be something nobody else has thought of.

GO AS ... "THE TERRIBLE TWO"
Make his face look really really scaryyyyy
Then make the number two out of foam. Put him inside. Then he goes as 'The Terrible Two'. Even put a little cape on the back (like a comic villian)
I doubt there is a scarier costume on the street that night!!!!!!!!!... lol

make him the Dr. Suess Cat

a werewolf puppy- teach him to bark like a little puppy dog...lol

I realllly like the magician idea.

Also saw online the other day a really cute R2D2 costume for toddlers. It's great because they're already the exact same size as R2D2.
Haha, they also have Yoda.

This won me a contest for "cutest and most unique" when I was 2 years old. A bag of jelly beans.
Just take a garbage bag and stuff it with colorful balloons.

Glad to help!!!
