Because wrestling is crap.
Why not watch a real fighting sport? Boxing? UFC? Pridefighting? Karate?

Hey Brandon
It's true, ECW has improved a bit as of late. But compared to old ECW its still garbage. For a WWE show though lately it's not bad at all. I thought the Morrison Vs Punk title match was superb. Any just about any match with Burke in it's bound to be great. Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorne, Marcus CorVon, CM Punk I think could all thrive in an old ECW type environment. I just wish they would call it something else. It bears about as much resemblance to ECW as horse crap does to roast beef. It's a WWE show through and t.hrough. Your right about the Raw main event being a total jokealoka.
ECW has been pretty damn good lately but it's just not ECW that's the problem.

is getting a bit better I give you that..
But is not the same anymore, I mean ECW was EXTREME!!!
Now the name should change to "CW" because it doesn't have the "Extreme" factor anymore..
And look at the active roster, I mean I think the only originals left are Balls Mahoney, Dreamer, CM Punk and Tazz... All the great talents either left back to Japan (Tanaka, Tajiri) changed companies (RVD, Sabu), went to raw to get fired!! (Sandman) etc...
I mean I'm sorry ECW is not the same anymore. They need to send Rey Mysterio in there, a new original (and his smackdown character sucks btw) and at least I hope Jericho goes to ECW. With some original guys back in ECW, like Mysterio and now Jericho, things could get a lot better.

ECW has some great Wrestling (Kicks the teeth out of Raw but thayt's not hard)
I think the problem for some fans is it isn't what ECW was. People want the great storylines, the great wrestling. But what they are getting is ECW Lite.
I think if they keep doing what they are doing it will be a good show, but it aint ECW.

I have to admit, the world title scene is better in ECW than RAW by far.
I agree that the main event should've been the steel cage match, however the cage match was very uneventful and not interesting to watch IMO.

Compared to the original ECW, it sucks. The two matches you listed can't compare to Tommy Dreamer vs. Brian Lee in the famous scaffold match, or any of the true EXTREME matches that used to take place in that ole' "bingo hall" in Philly.
I never called it "crap" though. I still watch the new ECW, but I find myself recording it and fast forwarding through some boring parts.

I like ECW, but it only gives us about 3 wrestling matches to see. Could be people would like to see more matches.

I love ECW. I think maybe because people miss the old ECW, they dont wanna give WWECW a chance. I really dont think you can go wrong with Burke, Punk, Thorn, and characters like Armando, Miz, Big Daddy V and Boogeyman. They're really missing out.

The old ECW was awesome to watch with all the action of every match being extreme rules...now its like rookie leagues where up and comers are and the crappy guys go
ex: Big Daddy V
when Sandman was champ with Rhyno as tv champ or whatever they called it and RVD and Sabu were a tag team ECW was my favorite thing to watch...now I dont bother and they ruin the ppvs with their one crappy match per ppv.

I actually agree with you. Out of the three WWE shows, it usually has the most entertaining main events.
It's nowhere near the old ECW, but it's got some of the best young talent on the WWE roster.
Punk, Morrison, Burke, Striker, Thorn= WWE's Future.

I like ECW, but I think it could be better. I personally want to see more one on one matches, not fatal four ways. And the whole Kelly Kelly/Balls Mohoney thing...eww. Like that would ever really happen.
