What are some ideas of smaller gifts that I can get him that will still be great without costing a fortune right after the holidays?

He is 20.

Thank you for your help!

Hi, my husband's birthday is right before christmas and what I did for him was take him to a concert...The ticket was only $35 and we both had a blast! Then for christmas I got him a killer Blazer from Express that I happened to use with a giftcard that I got about 2 months earlier.

Just think of what he likes and be creative..Does he like fishing? Take him on a day trip to a lake and have a picnic and lounge around all day. Or maybe you can plan a special evening with just the two of you and you can make him dinner and make an evening out of it with candles and sexy clothes :)

hope this helps!

The best thing about a post Christmas birthday is that you can take advantage of all the clearance sales to pick up some bargains.

If it were me, between giving a high dollar Christmas gift, or a low cost Birthday gift, I would alternate the two and give a low cost Christmas gift and take advantage of the post-holiday sales and get him a really nice Birthday gigt.

Ha. Poor thing. My boyfriend has it rough too, my bday is one week before christmas and our anniversary is 3 days after christmas. Maybe a more reasonably-sized (and priced) bottle of his favorite cologne or a shaving kit of some kind? Or if he's into movies blockbuster usually has these boxes where you could put a new movie in it along with a giftcard and some popcorn or candy for a "movie night" gift.
