Yes, I believe he will sign a one year, "make good" contract with Atlanta. He knows he can't get his true market worth coming off such a lousy season, so if he signs one year with the Braves, and has a good year next season, he will cash in at the free agent pay window after the season.

Torii Hunter, Grady Sizemore, hell, Coco Crisp, are all equivalent to Jones in protecting skills. Sizemore has a extra useful arm than something as properly, catching a ball is tremendous, yet throwing it facilitates. Ask any Yankee fan who dreads seeing a runner tag on a shallow fly ball hit to Johnny Damon.

A month ago I would have said that he would sign with the Braves, but now it looks like there is a good chance he will go.

I hope he will. His heart is in Atlanta. Maybe be give up a few dollars for happiness in his home town. He could leave like Glavine did and end up regretting it.

Yes. After coming off what had to be the worst contract season in recent history I don't see any other team strongly pursing him.
