Are you for or against hunting?

I hunt deer myself. I don't see why so many people have a problem with it? It's the best method of population control for deer that I know of. Would you rather a an animal be tracked down and slowly mutilated and eaten alive by a predator or quickly and painlessly taken out by a hunter? By the time it's big enough for a hunter to take out, it would have already lived through it's best years...otherwise it would just become old and decrepit, making it that much more susceptible to predators. I just want to hear some opinions...

I'm all for hunting I bow hunt myself (you can all point and laugh ) I also agree it keeps the numbers down and helps more people then you think I also donate my kills to homeless shelters so if me killing a deer to feed a person is bad then I'm going to hell and I don't care what anyone says

Hunting is fine with me as long as you eat what you kill. Just killing for fun is sick. There was a great scene described in Africa around the turn of the last century, some hunters were gathered around mounds of animals they had slaughtered for fun, and were just going to skin for trophies, and they were bitching about how there were so few animals to kill anymore. They all fit in to the ecological balance of this planet, the system that keeps us humans alive. It might not be real obvious, real apparent at first, and its a redundant system so it has built in flexibility, but there are limits beyond which it cannot be pushed without collapsing and taking us down with it.

I don't really have an issue with hunting for pretty much the reason you mentioned. Population control. However, I do think that killing them without the intention of eating them is a waste. If you use what you hunt then go for it. In a nutshell I'm opposed to hunting solely for sport. My 2 cents =)

maybe 'in your mind' you have a point. but in my opinion nature takes its toll and only sick fkkers shoot animals for fun. I dont believe that Hunters HUNT for any other reason. The majority just use this B/S as an excuse. I would shoot an injured animal to end its suffering but not an animal thats doing 'fine thanks'..until you came along .....there are lots of undesirable living in my unit complex. (to my liking)... doesnt mean im gonna go shoot them....you justify your actions too much. I dont like your mentality. In my opinion You are a redneck.

I am not against hunting because I am a meat eater and think it would be quite hypocritical if I told people they shouldn't hunt... however, I myself would never be hunter.. I am deathly afraid of guns, I mean to even hold a gun. There is no way I would ever be able shoot a living creature.

I approve of hunting for population control and food. It's the the trophy hunters who hunt only the best specimens and leave the meat that make my blood boil!

I have no issue with hunters that use the meat from the animals that they hunt. I have many friends that supplement their family food budgets with pounds and pounds of venison and make their own sausages, burger meats and jerky, too.

It's the prize hunters that I object to - people who hunt solely for the prize to hang on their walls.

As long as you do it and i don't I'm fine with it. I'd rather have someone hunt it and take advantage of the meat and be useful then hitting or poor deer with my car and nothing useful happens execept hefty car repair charges...

Me and my dog go hunting together.

We kill EVERYthing we find !

She loves it when I stalk up on an unsuspecting target, go in for the kill, corner the beast and finally flush out the prey to mercilessly crush the life out of them.

She HATES having fleas.

I've been hunting a couple times, but I didn't get to kill anything. Once was deer hunting and the other was turkey.... I'd love to go again.. will you take me?
