She can, but she doesn't have to. You'll need to talk with her before you do anything.

If she wants to change it, and she lives in the US, she has to go to the Social Security office to get a new Social Security card with her new last name on it ( with a certified copy of your marriage license, the one you get after it is legal, not the one you get before the wedding). Once she gets that, she can change her drivers license, and anything else with her old name on it (bank accounts, credit cards etc....). But she has to do it. It doesn't just change automatically. Some women keep their maiden names.

She will have to take a copy of her marriage license to the DMV and her name will be changed in the records. Same goes for the Social Security office. Once these things are done, her name will be changed. She will also want to obtain several copies of (certified) marriage license to change bank accounts, mortgage, etc. (All changes made require an original certified copy so keep this in mind.)

No it doesn't automatically change but some woman today keep there surname and take the husband name as well but she has to take your marriage liense to have it change at D.M.V. and S.S. office and the bank that you bank with and talk to her she may want to change her name and she may want both names (ex sample Mrs K. Smith Jones)

Yes the woman changes her surname to her husbands by law except some people in celebrity keep their original surname eg. Les Dennis & Amanda Holden. Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman. I think these are stage names though.

Here in the US she will have to fill out the necessary forms for a legal change of name. Once she does that she will need to contact all of the folks she does business with like banks, credit card companies, etc... and inform them of her new name.

She should be able to get all of the necessary name change forms through the local county courthouse office.

It changes with the marriage liscense.

Take your marriage liscense to the social security office to get your ss card name changed and that makes her name legally yours.

Just take the marriage liscense to the motor vehicle division and change it with your drivers liscense
Then go to the bank and everything anything her OLD name was on credit cards etc

As far as her job she has to notify them so email etc. can change, and she needs to contact or go to the social security office in order for the change to answer your question it does not happen automatically.

usually yes it changes when you marry, her name should be Mrs. whatever her first name is then your surname but some people choose to keep thier surname as it's easier for their buisness ie lawyer or doctor. Some people even add thier spouses name to thier own making a double-barrelled surname eg smith-price etc.
