If you are planning to keep the crystal, what you HAVE to do is soak the crystal in salt water for few minutes (this is quite important since you are going to use its properties). When it's done, you might want to put it out in the sun. This will clean the crystal and bring it back to its natural state. I have a beautiful rose quartz that is about 2 inches in length. I had it wrapped at an occult shop and wear it as a necklace. It is suppose to keep you healthy. So far so good. I keep it in a small pouch of sea salt. Don't let anyone else touch it or handle it. You need to keep it near you and handle it.
