I asked a question yesterday about a gaming motherboard and Am now asking which one is better: the ASUS PK5-E or the ASUS AM?

Standard rule of thumb for gaming:

Buy the fastest hardware you can afford.

That said, a comarable AMD CPU is almost always less expensive than Intel and the difference in performance is negligible.
