Last night I had such a surreal dream that I had a miscarriage. I'm about 3 1/2 months pregnant and this scares me...This is my second pregnancy and I have such a baddd fear that I will lose it. B/c I dreamed it do you think it will happen????
Anyone have any good ideas about calming my nerves about a miscarriage. My doc said since I am so far along that my chances for one are decreased but I still worry. I don't remember worrying this much when I had my first baby, Of course I was 18 then now I'm almost 24. Pls someone help me calm my nerves.

By the way I think I worry alot about Miscarriages bc with working full time, my son starting kindergarten and my b.f has bi polar so he likes to start arguments that get me upset. This is what is driving me nuts. I really want this child but I'm so scared that it won't happen...even more now that I've told everyone including my boss.

no the only reason why u dreamt it was more than likely because u are stressing urself about it. as long as you take care of urself than no need to worry!!! I think you should be fine! the more u stress out about it u may have a miscarriage from stressing so much. it is normal to stress about that kind of stuff during ur pregnancy i have. but just stay posative thats all i can say

Sweetheart I have dreams all the time about me miscarrying (I had one about a year and half ago) and that time i didnt have any dreams about even being preggy! I think it is just our nerves surfacing into our dreams...it has NO real factuality. and as for calming your nerves...I would also LOVE to know but i really don't think there is anything we can do... the only thing that helps me is i told my doc that i was nervous and i go in every 2 weeks for a U/S and even when i see the baby and HEAR the heartbeat I am still nervous about 30 minutes after leaving the doctors office! Sorry honey! but just know that odds are incredibly in your favor!

Dreams about things such as miscarriage and birth defects are commen during pregnancy. You are naturally going to worry that something could go wrong or be wrong. DONT WORRY! It was just a dream!
Your doctor is right, the chance of miscarriage after the first trimester is extremly reduced! You can worry yourself sick, however. SO, calm down! Your baby is fine!

Your only dreaming about it because your thinking about it during the day. Where did this fear come from, have you had all the necessary check-ups & test, if so and everything is alright, I would calm down, take a deep breath and start enjoying that little life growing inside of you. You are putting stress, not only on yourself but your baby too. I wish you all the best, try and change your thoughts to happy ones :)

Honey, don't worry about having a miscarriage. You'll be fine. I had a VERY BAD dream and it looked so real I was so scared of having a miscarriage, especially when my sister had a dream I had a miscarriage THE SAME NIGHT!...we talked in the morning and I told her about my dream and then she told me she had a similar dream about me having a miscarriage. WEIRD! I know...but nothing has happened and I'm very healthy as well as my baby is. Don't worry honey because it's worse on you and your baby.

When I was pregnant, I had the most bizarre dreams... with all of my kids. I used to have reoccurring dreams, where I'd dreamt I gave birth to a litter of babies with kitten heads.. or I'd taken a baby out into the ocean and lost her in waves. Then there were the dreams where I had little boys and now I have 4 girls :) I'd say its not a premonition of anything.. we just have very vivid and bizarre dreams while we're pregnant. I have no advice on how to stop them or anything, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying over it.. I never gave birth to any kittens :)
Congrats on your new addition.

Why would you assume that your body would fail your baby? Has it ever given you reason to doubt its natural ability? Its obviously done it once before, and its obviously doing it well, so why are you allowing yourself to obsess about it?
Every woman has those dreams, and every woman has moments of fear, but at some point you have to realize that you're body is MADE to have babies. Everything about it is designed for the sole purpose of carrying and bearing and raising babies. That alone is enough to calm a multitude of fears.
Why would six years between pregnancies make a difference? Your body gets BETTER at making babies the more it does it.
I dont for a minute think that because you dreamed it it will happen. I think you've allowed this unfounded fear to creep in and take over even your subconcious. You've allowed this fear to take from you the joy of this time of being one with your baby. Pregnancy is a beautiful special time, how on EARTH can you enjoy it if you're walking around on egg shells waiting for the worst to happen?
Dont dwell on it, instead, dwell on how amazing it is that your body knows what its doing.

Dreams do not determine whether you have a miscarriage or not.The reason you had that dream is because it is something that is weighed heavily on your mind. Try thinking of positive things about your baby coming instead of dewelling on thoughts that it might not come.

No, your dream doesn't mean you'll miscarry. Dreams like that are pretty normal with a pregnancy if there's a lot of fear and anxiety.
Just stay calm, and you'll be okay. Congrats to you!

No way, I have had dreams like that too. That just shows how much you want to protect anything bad from happing to your baby. That is the first sign of motherhood. If you didn't have these feelings you haven't yet got your motherly intuition.
Everything is o.k mommy!!!
