Do you have a dog? Does it like to chase things? My blue heeler will gladly chase crickets, mice, coyotes, goats, horses and cows. Not to mention, frisbees, tennis balls and small pieces of plastic. She could put a hurtin' on that cricket for you and save you some plaster work later.

Hope you get rid of it soon. They have a very short lifespan so it will die at some point very soon.

drown it - if you know what vicinity it is in. messy-but would run him out.
i suggest simply turn on a fan or radio,crickets are servants of satan and it is rare to find one and annihilate it when it is bent on torturing you. as they say,you are stuck like chuck man =)
