The required conditions are as follows:-
(1)Sea surface temperature of atleast 26.5 degree celcius.
(2)Moist layer upto atleast 5 Kms in the atmosphere.
(3)The place of formation should be beyond 7 degrees latitude from the equator on both the hemispheres so that the coriolis force can act.
(4)A pre-existing near-surface disturbance with sufficient vorticity and convergenge(to trigger the formation).
(5) Steep lapse rate(unstability should be more) to produce convective currents and
(6)Vertical wind shear should be less so as not to disturb the formation of the storm.
