It's hard to make ends meet if you have a low wage.
But make it a challenge. Work out how you can have some money left.
It will mean not having some things.
Ask yourself seriously 'Do I really want that ....'
Cut down on luxury's.
If you smoke it one of the worst drains on the cash.
Also running a car can take the pennies.
If you have a mortgage you could join one of those schemes like 'Secure Homes' they work out your finances for you and you pay so much each week. The only snag is you have to pay them to do it for you. I don't know how much. But if it worked they could get you level with your finances and then you could leave them and do it yourself.
I am on a fixed income, and after working and having all the dosh I spent. I can see now where I went wrong. It's a good idea to save some even if it's only £2.00 a week in a little purse. It soon mounts up and when you are broke it is very useful.

Make a budget on excel and stick to it. Don't buy what you don't need. You probably have yourself upside down. which means you owe more than you have. You really need to reassess whats important to you and go from there. Downsize. Its not an easy adjustment but its nice to have the cushion of a big savings account and enough money to pay your bills. You will have to sacrifice. You can't drive the best of everything and were the most expensive shoes/clothes... but you can splurge every now and then.
Oh I forgot to mention- decrease your debt. We have everything but the house payed off. That way our only bills are utilities and house payments. No credit cards!
We don't make much- I am a stay at home wife and my husband makes about 90,000 a year. We live like we make about 70,000 a year. Comfortable but not wasteful.

When it comes to money were always struggling with it as everyone needsmoney, you spend your money on what you need and its gone in the blink of an eye and you never have anything to show for it lol

Seems like a conspiracy of some sorts huh? We owe we owe...so off to work we go...and still we manage to spend more money a month then what we bring home. I say blame inflation, the economy, bad financial decisions of citizens, poor budgeting, over spending, and no savings.

I disagree with jb, I budget, don't spend money on anything frivolously and yet some months are just plain hell. Things are so expensive these days and wages don't raise to accommodate these expenses...
