It sounds like you have a lot working against you both already. Interracial relationships and intercultural relationships can be very difficult, but some people can make those type of relationships work. In my opinion, a black girl being with an Asian man is not a big deal. USA is getting more and more diverse and I'm sure there's another couple like you and your boyfriend somewhere out there.
If you both want to be together, then be together.
It's not good of people to think that the two of you look inappropriate.
Inappropriate is a word for behavior not appearance and skin color.
If you and your boyfriend are two intelligent people who love each other and have good times together, there is NOTHING inappropriate about that.

the funniest comments i ever received were when I dated Asian guys
i remember one older white man saying "there is a couple you don't see everyday"
well
you seem young and let me tell you what i wish i had known in my heart when i was young
a relationship is about YOU and HIM
yes, family in friends are part of the "village" and nothing is more beautiful than when a couple, their families, and friends all get along and love each other
but sometimes, it just doesn't happen
and that is true even if the guy ISN'T of a different race
SO
concentrate on taking things one day at a time (no changing last names in your head!)
and don't worry about your friends
believe me, good friends will just be happy that YOU ARE HAPPY
anybody else needs to deal with their own issues
DON'T EVER HAVE OR LEAVE A RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE OF WHAT SOMEONE ELSE SAYS
you are the one who will be unhappy or miserable
it is not about them
AND CHANCES ARE THEY WOULDN'T GIVE A DARN ABOUT YOUR OPINION IF THEY WERE IN A RELATIONSHIP
as to his family, this could be tricky, but hopefully he too will be strong enough to carry on
REMEMBER
In ANY relationship, you have to make sure not to let other people's issues or problems with you create problems within your relationship
just enjoy one another and go on
have a good day

how old are you?
cause the older you get the more you'll begin to see things differently. I'm currently in an interracial relationship and my family really don't care.
5 years ago I would have never in a million years dated anyone outside my race,

Who cares what 'they' think. Are you both comfortable in your relationship? Do you both get along better together? People who do not like relationships between other peoples are just showing their ignorance. They go to church, they believe, but when it comes to 'all' people, they don't agree. 'They' say you should stick with your own kind or something equally stupid. Since there is only one race on the planet Earth and that is the human race, we are all one kind. If they can get that through their solid stone heads, then this world would be a better place all of the time. In my opinion and from what you are saying that same opinion is running through you and your significant others' heads too. Good luck, I hope you make it work, despite the naysayers!

The only thing you can do... live your life. If you two want to be together and love each other, who are they to question what God has brought together? Your family may not always agree with what you may do, but they will never stop loving you! Besides, your friend and parents make their own decisions in life, you should too. If they are really your friends, they will be their for you no matter who you choose to date, marry, etc.

Live your own life & do what makes you happy. There are always going to be "haters", no matter what you do or who you date. I am a white woman & am married to a black man, so I understand where you are coming from. Just remember....respect of one another's cultures is very important!

You are dating HIM not his family or your friends. Who cares what they think? Enough said.

racist is not bad, (actually) it filter out and keep the fruit too far from the tree, they just don't want to lose him and forget their ancestor.
mostly when we accept diffrences and not being racist, we mostly lost our value of culture.
to be in the circle you must understand their back ground, learn their culture, ect ect, you are still considered outsider, a danger that may threat their integrity and value they want to pass on over many generation
ps : should above is not true, and they just blindly disrespect you, stand your ground and fight,

Did you ask your family before you dated this dude?!
If you guys are so conscious of race why go ahead with such a scheme?!
Now that the apple is in the throat, better swallow it!!!
If this guy has confidence to stand up for you and you for him, you should not even bother about this 'race' thingie!

You ignore them. Be happy in your relationship. People are shallow sometimes and push their insecurities and hang ups on to other people. Don't let others beliefs dictate your happiness.
Best wishes on your relationship!
