3. The body must first have a raised starting vectorfor before its trajectory can achieve a parabola. Besides, paper flutters and ruins the symmetry of the trajectory.

Yes it's 3. Paper fluttering is part of the reason but an important distinction is that if it's parabolic there must be a horizontal velocity component. (There doesn't have to be a "raised" or upward component if there's already some altitude.) So even if you replaced the paper with an anvil, it still wouldn't follow a parabolic path. All the other cases have some horizontal velocity (assuming the frog didn't just fall off a cliff).
