Reps have sold the American people the bill of goods based on nothing more than reliance on clever marketing. Witness the turning of a *liberal* into a dirty word and the king of them all *familiy values*. All of it was done as a clever, insidious, but filthy campaign to direct the attention away from their real goal: the war on the middle class. Unfortunately, we have a limited attention span, an apathy towards learning, and would rather memorize by heart what did Britney Spears do during the last two years, rather than learn about our representatives, or so called representatives. And here another problem rears it's ugly head. They do not represent us, they represent business interests which grease their wheels with bribes. Why do they get away with it ? Actually, I think it is our fault. We do not have enough gumption to chase the bastards out of DC. We prefer to focus on what Brad Pitt is going through in his personal life. Mass media is an accomplice, or worse, because when you turn the spotlight on something as inconsequential as the adventures of Brangelina, you turn it away from the fact 47 million Americans have no health insurance. Perhaps if we truly focused and understood what is going on in our country we would start a revolution and leave DC deserted.
Democrats are not without fault, they have also failed the American people.

I think it will stop when people stop voting for their party and start looking at the individual for whom they are voting. I mean really looking. I hear too many people say "I always vote (pick one) straight down the line. I don't trust those lousy (pick the other) as far as I can throw em." Instead of voting for the best candidate, many people immediately vote for their party's lead.
Also, this will stop when people stop believing the hype about various politicians and actually do some homework. This country trusts the media too much.
So, in summation, my answer is: Never.

Easy, term limits. Let's face it if the crooks bring home the money each State keeps on electing the scum from both major parties. Hey I don't like the dirt bag from California dictating exceptions on her connections to Tuna but heck those California folk will still vote her in again. I don't like what Craig might have done but I can't stop his State from electing him again. Or how about both parties equal illustrious Louisiana congress folks, real class acts in that State aren't they?
So let's set term limits on congress positions. Oddly everytime it comes up they somehow never get it to pass. I wonder why?

Is THIS what your campaign has been reduced to Hillary ? We know it`s you ! You`ve been prowling around Yahoo Q&A for some time now , asking these ridiculous questions in a "last ditch" effort to hoodwink Americans into voting for you !
Don`t waste your time Hillary ! Americans aren`t as hare-brained as you implied they are . Maybe Bill believes your speeches and promises , but not too many others do .
I hope for your sake you can take your upcoming embarrasing defeat at the polls with grace instead of your usual sour-puss , whining , vindictive , unintelligible blubbering !

I don't think we ever will. People are easily swayed this way and that. They buy into an image and not substance. They take the easy way out and do not dig deep and find the truth. This is a sad fact.

If you are using our massively liberal media as a gauge you are wasting your time. It is time for people to stop allowing these politicians from keeping us united in hate. Most of them are bad including Democrats.

Republicans are the only decent men.
Ted Kennedy underhandedly tried to get a hate crime's bill put through against Christians by attaching it to another bill.
This bill lets the courts judge the thoughts and not the actions of people. Who knows the thoughts of man except God? This is a hateful bill, made up by hateful people, trying to stop the free speech of pastors and preachers. It will not stop hate crimes, it will stop preachers.
