I am a rap fan but if they wan to stop the profanity, why allow it on the radio? Doesn't make any sense. I agree that our youth are not getting the right impression of the whole rap lyric, but I am a grown woman and know right from wrong. AND it is not only the music it is us as a soicety. I seen some of the comments and they are no better than the lyrics in rap music so we all need to get it together, for real.

So true, we are suppose to be in the process of cleaning up society.
But they allow two men to kiss on TV, and the reality shows- the kids talk about sex.

It's really an impingement on creativity and expression.
However, having a child who can't get away from it, I support cleaning it up.
It's not as if minors (young minors!) can go about their business. The stuff has permeated the culture enough that it's common. It's sad to hear it coming out of a child's mouth - worse to consider it's forming their impression of life and the world. Downright drastic that they'll want to identify with it as they come of age, "because it's cool". It's not cool, it's a sad biography (and autobiography).
