Presuming your tires are pumped up the the maximum limit does your tracker bounce more than once when driving over irregularities on the road? The age old trick of standing on a corner bumper, bouncing and jumping off and watching if the vehicle takes an extra bounce may be hard to see because the Tracker is so light in weight. If so, it's time for new struts on the front and shocks on the rear. If you want to save some money and upgrade at the same time go to: autopartswarehouse.com and order KYB shocks for the rear and same brand struts for the front. Any order over $50.00 shipping is free and you duck paying sales tax. The KYB brand is miles ahead of general purpose Sears, Monroe of Gabriel.

Finally a decent question, so many stupid questions on this site.

Shocks are pretty easy to diagnose. I the car bounces several times after a bump they are done. You can check by jumping on and off the bumper. Try a new car first to see what should happen.

In bright daylight crawl under the car and look at them. If they are wet on the outside or leaking fluid they are done.

Always replace them in pairs. You can do this yourself if you have tools. Soak the nuts with WD40 etc. several times over a few days and you will have an easier time.

If you have a broken spring shop around. I have always had good luck with Midas. Scrap yards are a good place for springs. Expect to pay half of new.

Springs must also be replaced in left and right pairs.

check the bottom of the shocks visually for any sign of leakage of fluids, then check your tires for any sign of abnormal wear patterns near the edges of the treads, does the car skip or jump or hop up and down when accellerating or stopping??, if so change the shocks with what ever is on there, original manufacturer parts. 64K miles is not abnormal to be changing parts, but the time is comming when you will have to do it, the whole deal should be under $100 labor and tax included. shop arround to find the best deal, dont be afraid to ask questions that may sound some what emmbarassing, its your car, money and safety, have your local garage do a comprehensive safety inspection, if it doesnt pass, you`ll at least know up front. good luck.

Does the car bounce a lot when you drive or hit bumps? A good way to check is by pushing the front bumper down as hard as you can. When you release it, the car should rise back up and stop. If it bounces up and down a few times, they are probably worn out.
