Since I frequented a university and move in related circels thats where the feminists hoard, so yes I might be somewhat biased since I have had regular contact to angry white women.

carry sadly too many people got kinky thoughts thinking of female supremacists, confusing them with dominas and all. I dont blame them, since there are many young people on here and think of sex and dont know what a supremacist is.

Just to clarify Iam referring to angry white women going havok on equalists of all races and color, not people of color or other ethnicities in particular.

6666z so pointing out inequalities and voicing against them means Iam not an equalist ?
hmmm interesting "logic".

haha ya but most broads are that way just some more than others and that mood changes every hour and the hour, now that mood can be changed for the good with flowers and sweet things but beware they get used to that and become dangerious when that is removed.

Kayla, for starters, when you go into a store or restaurant, you are far more likely as a white woman to receive courteous and attentive service than a black woman would be.

You are also far more likely to be believed if you accuse a man of rape than a black woman would be.

If you or a white female child is kidnapped or a victim of a viiolent crime, it will receive more attention from the media and more police manpower will be deployed than if the same happened to a black woman.

I'm not sure precisely what cassius is asking about, because I generally don't see white women who are feminists saying racist things, though I recently have on yahoo Answers and your tends toward being an example.

White women using feminism as a cover to deny that they enjoy white privilege IS racist, but I don't think all or even MOST feminists do that.

COWPIC (can't spell your name)

Kayla specifically denied that there are privileges she has as a white woman that OTHER WOMEN don't have.

What cassius is on about, I've not a clue, but i am commenting on some of the responses which seem to be denying white privilege. If I misunderstand, I am open to correction.

MORE TO COWPIC
oooooh, ok.

If that's the case, then cassius, you're a nutter. Lots of women of color enjoy a variety of pursuits and wish to be treated with respect and dignity, as much as white women do.

Some of kayla's best friends are black. ROTFLMAO. CLASSIC!

incidentally, i didn't say YOU were racist. I don't KNOW you. I said that what you SAID was racist. It's the same as when a man says something misogynistic. That doesn't mean that he has a general attitude of hatred toward women. the remark may have been thoughtless, misinformed, spoken in haste, and against his better judgment.

ASHLEY

First, do you know your argument almost perfectly parallels the arguments of masculinists that many feminists refer to as "whinings"?

Second, there are black colleges and such for the same reasons that there are women's colleges: because historically, many colleges were only open to white men. Incidentally, many black colleges DO admit white students. And the United ***** College Fund includes scholarships for non-blacks who want to attend black schools. The fund is for historically black SCHOOLS not for black PEOPLE.

Lastly, I never said that white people as a whole are responsible for slavery. I consider it racist to minimize the heinousness of chattel slavery by speaking as if being a housewife and being a slave were equivalent, but I do not claim that white people should feel guilty about slavery: just don't try to minimize it or make asinine comparisons.

One more thing, who are the "most people" who call you racist because you're white? There are many white people who I don't call racist and I know many other blacks who don't call all white people racist.

This is like when masculinists say things like "feminists assume I am a rapist because I am a man". Very VERY few feminists would say any such thing.

ASHLEY

I never denied that blacks could be racist. Where do you get this stuff?

I don't know what particular scholarship you're talking about, but the UNCF is as I said.

And anyway, yes, there is a double standard. the same standard that makes it acceptable to have women's colleges. And I explained why. And I will equally defend the existence of women's colleges against masculinists who claim that's discriminatory against men.

Exactly what privileges do I have, as a white women that other women do not have, I would love to know.

GNU, I gather from your comment that you think I am racist because I don't see what privilege I have as a white woman that others don't. I am not in any way racist and if you saw any of my other anwers you would have gathered that. I have many girlfriends of different races and don't see a difference in how we are treated when we go out. The Duke Lacrosse case is a prime example that disputes your claims. She was given every right that I would have been given, as she should have been. I am not a confrontational person but I felt the need to respond to this sorry. Oh and by the way I am not denying that racism exist because it does, but saying racism is one sided is biased.

I never said my friends were black, I said "races" why would that amuse you? I for one have never been given special treatment because of my race, sorry if that is not an answer that you accept, but it's the truth. Have women of all races seen advantages because of their race, sure, not denying that. But to say it is only white women is racist.

Huffing and Puffing is a stress reliever....and I suppose that some angry white women are afraid to loose their priviledges...as most women of any race, creed or color....angry does not lead to results of any kind except at the onset...then you must settle, and then go forward.

I'm a white woman who's not angry and dont huff and puff. I do a lot of work in advocacy and dont feel that I'm giving up or losing anything. What others gain is not my loss. I really dont have any special privileges just because of my gender or race.

ok.sure, point out inequalities and speak up. great! more people should do it. but you answered your own question anyway,
WHY do ANGRY white women HUFF and PUFF. ... they huff and puff because they are angry by nature. you just hang out with some ritzy bizzatches. white it self is irrelevant. i notice jerks come in a variety of colors. i guess it would be racist of me to complain about those big bad white people. it's just some people always got something to complain about no matter how much they have.

and for all you people saying you don't worry about losing privilages because they are already laws, just look at the patriot act.

I'm not afraid of a damn thing. I'm not losing any privileges--oh wait, don't you mean rights?--that I already have, so why would I worry about that? And we're not huffing and puffing at the trolls, they're the ones who are coming in here and huffing and puffing at us, and so naturally we're just responding appropriately.

EDIT:

Attack? I haven't attacked anyone...unless they deserved attacking (i.e. if their question attacked ME by being deliberately misogynist or anti-feminist). When someone asks a fair question, I give a fair answer, unless that particular question happens to hit a nerve.

i'm not angry, but i do get perturbed when i get accused of being "rich and privileged" just because i'm white. HA! i work hard for what i have, which isn't much. i pay for college and i pay for my home. but okay, i'll go with the posters like gnu and say that i have privileges..fine. but what about black people? don't they have privileges?

like:
their own tv station
college funds specifically for them
colleges for african americans.
beauty pageants
and countless other things that whites are excluded from. i know that they fought horrible racism when slavery was around and a lot of racism still exists. but i had nothing to do with that. my mom and dad had nothing to do with that. if we had white associations that outright excluded blacks, then we would be called racist. hell, most people will call me racist just because i'm white.

racism goes both ways.

EDIT: will you just acknowledge that black people can be racist too? i AM NOT whining and i didn't say you were either. i am not saying that racism doesn't exist, i'm simply saying that white women don't have all these privileges you're going on and on about. i am a white woman, i should know. btw, black scholarships are not just to black schools. and what would you call a school or scholarship fund that didn't allow whites except for maybe an exception? yeah, you'd call them racist. all woman schools, all men schools, all black schools are not considered offensive to most. if someone opened an "all white school" people would be screaming bloody murder.

I'm a white woman and I'm not sure what privileges I have. I do not huff and puff about losing anything. Complaining is for lazy people; action is for those who want change.

Hmmm, most of the angry people I see in this world aren't white or women. Biased much?

I'll give up any gendered privileges I have if it's in the interests of equality. Oh, wait — I already have.

EDIT TO DOC RUDY: It's pretty hard to give something up when it's law, isn't it? But I've never had to use any of them.
