If you get snow where you live and you have property that needs to be shoveled, who does the shoveling and why them? also how bad does the snow get where you live? I am a New Yorker and now own a corner property (house) and am not anticipating the snow fall this winter. Looks like it might be time for a snow blower!

I shovel our snow because I have the time and generally don't mind doing it. I do my neighbours as well as he is ill, it is good exercise.
We can get storms that leave drifts 2 - 4 ft deep in places so sometimes it is a big job. This can happen for days in a row and all you feel you are doing is shovelling. I live in Alberta, Canada.

When I lived in Colorado, I did my own shoveling. I lived on a corner lot, too, and I had to do it because I was kind of broke at the time, and couldn't reasonably pay anybody else!

Now I live in Washington state, west of the Cascades, and while it rains a lot, we seldom get snow. Even when we do, a little salt usually takes care of it.

We shovel the snow at the house where we live. We have some homes that we rent out and the tennants who live there shovel the snow on their walks and driveways.
