A man responsible for the death of another man in a car crash walks away with a fine and a few points on his licence because the man didn't die at the scene but in the hospital a few days later so only went to court for careless driving but if you commit fraud or any crime involving money you get a jail sentence of at least 10 years it seems to me the government only care about money than the life of someone who probably never caused anyone any harm in his life it seems to me murderers walkaway from jail sentences yet theives and fraudsters get jailed there is no justice in the world so please explain to someone whose father was killed in the car accident how this is fair all views are welcome

I ask this many times as I see the news, although it seems the more rich &/or famous a person is the less the justice...And those creepy insurance Lawyers when a person is injured for life,do everything in their power to make sure that little amounts are paid. The only ones who benifit are the lawyers.

Yes, your observation is correct. There are a lot of disparities in the justice system. Look at how drunk drivers are given slaps on the wrists. Look at the current case where 6 teenage boys could spend more time in jail for assault than a child molester. And even though cocaine is proven much stronger and more harmful, the law gives 3X harsher penalties for crack than it does for cocaine.
I'm sorry but, the truth is that these such laws have come into place to keep the disadvantaged at a disadvantage.

As long as imperfect humans attempt to administer justice to each other, while each having differing moral perspective, unfairness will be easily found.
Many people (me included) believe that in the end, God will reward and punish with perfect justice (being trumped only by mercy) - but that requires patience and trust on our part.
If the son or daughter of the accident victim believes their father to be in Heaven, and believes Heaven to be a better place (no pain, no disease, etc.) than Earth, they may find great comfort in this belief.
I speak from personal experience: my grandfather, who I greatly admired, died in a traffic accident when I was in junior high school.
The driver at fault walked away with a virtual slap on the wrist, yet I await the day I see my grandfather again in Heaven, and believe he is in a better place and condition than if he endured all the surgery and therapy that would have ensued.

Im so sorry to hear about your dad:( I lost the man I loved in a car accident. He was hit and killed by a drunk driver, who fortunately, is still in jail.
Our "justice" system is pretty unfair and bias. If you are rich, famous or have a good lawyer to lie for you, you will get off with a slap on the hand.
Again, sorry for your loss.

It is unexplainable especially to those who lose someone. Everyone is a victim when the law is on the wrong side or too ineffective to punish those that kill.
Accidents happen everyday, that is true, but still tragedy is hard to rebound from.
O.J. if you believe (like most do) that he got away with murder, is a popular example. In the end it is the little things that will get you (I refer to his recent charges of theft), how much sense is there in that.

The key word is "accident". As long as the guy wasnt drunk or otherwise impaired, didnt crash intentionally, didnt leave the scene, he should not be prosecuted. Sorry for your friend's loss of a father, but sh*t happens.

justice tend to look the other way especially when it comes to people bending the rules...one thing ive happened to notice is that news media only covers caucasian missing person and tend to put it in the long run on their shows but when other races seems to be missing or being killed, they only get like 15 mins of fame and seem to disappear in the media business...

Politicians make the law. People make the politicians.
These concerns are valid, but the education of the people has to start at a far more fundamental level.

You are right government only care about money,a person or country is judged by their worth (money wise) it does not make it right though, n fact it is quite sad.You will not find justice in the justice system they are too busy linning their pockets.
